Montgomery County inmate pronounced dead
A Montgomery County inmate accused of assaulting and stabbing his wife was found in his cell with a bed sheet around his neck.
Jail employees discovered Pedro Pete Noboa, 40, on June 25, while conducting rounds, according to a Montgomery County Sheriff's Department news release.
Authorities say an ambulance arrived and transported Noboa to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Montgomery County Major Crimes, Texas Rangers and the district attorney's office are investigating the death.
