Montgomery Sheriff's Department seizes 34 bundles of marijuana during investigation
The Montgomery Sheriff's Department seized 34 bundles of marijuana during an investigation on June 28, according to a police report released on June 29.
According to the report, on June 28, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Special Investigations Unit conducted a narcotics investigation in the 23700 block of Daffodil Lane Porter, which led to the seizure of 34 bundles of marijuana weighing approximately 679 pounds, along with drug trafficking ledgers and other paraphernalia.
Two assault rifles and several loaded magazines were also seized during the investigation, according to the report, and one of the rifles was a fully automatic short-barrel AR-15 machine gun.
Two suspects, Maria Delosangele, of Porter, and Alejandro Gomez Arelllano, of Houston, were arrested with the assistance of the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana F-2, according to the report.
In addition, the male suspect was a prior deported alien, and bonds were set at $500,000 on each suspect, according to the report.
