Woodlands Art League hosts 'Off the WAL Kids' summer camps

The Woodlands Art League will hold its "Off the WAL Kids" summer camp for ages 4-15 from 9-11 a.m. Aug. 6 through Aug. 24.

The week of Aug. 6-10 will focus on "a-mazement" art, op art, Magritte surrealism and fantasy art.

The week of Aug. 13-17 will focus on insect art with insect sculpture and butterfly abstract using recycled material.

The week of Aug. 20-24 will focus on collaborative art with found object construction, a rectangle village blueprint and WAL Kids Village layout.

Children will be divided three age groups, and tuition is $90 per week per child. Additional children in the same family receive a $5 discount.
