InterOil Corporation adds 2 members to board of directors

Rabbie Namaliu and Samuel Delcamp were added to the InterOil Corp. board of directors after the company rearranged its corporate structure.

Namaliu is the former prime minister of Papua New Guinea. Delcamp formerly served as executive director and chief investment officer of The Fuller Foundation.

In addition to serving as the Papua New Guinea prime minister from 1988-92, Namaliu was the speaker of the National Parliament from 1994-97, minister for foreign affairs and trade from 1982-84 and several other senior government posts. He is also a member of the PNG Institute of Directors and has chaired InterOil's PNG Advisory Committee since August.

Delcamp has more than 40 years of investment experience, having previously served with The Fuller Foundation for 24 years. He was also instrumental in founding the organization and overseeing the growth in its assets from $4 million to more than $600 million.

The board also separated the roles of chairman and chief executive officer. Gaylen Byker was appointed chairman of the board and Phil Mulacek will continue as CEO.

During his tenure as a director since 1997, Byker served in a number of roles, including lead independent director, chair of the board's Compensation, Nominating and Governance committees and a member of its Audit and Reserves committees. He has practiced law and was co-head of commodity derivatives at Phibro Energy and a partner of Offshore Energy Development Corp. Byker retired from his role as president of Calvin College on June 30 to undertake the enhanced role with InterOil.
