Leadership Montgomery County announces new chair and board members
Linda Nelson, director of business unit marketing at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital, has been named the new chair of Leadership Montgomery County.
According to a press release, Nelson graduated from LMC in 1999 and has since served the organization in various capacities, including being an alumni chair, vice chair and board member. She received a bachelor's degree in business from West Virginia Wesleyan College and an MBA from Texas Women's University. Nelson has also served on the boards of directors for both the South Montgomery County Woodlands and the Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe chambers of commerce.
LMC has also added four new members to its board, including Julie Ambler, Debbie Buckalew Campbell, Roger Goertz and Jonathan Unterreiner.
Ambler, who received her Bachelor of Arts and MBA degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, is The Woodlands Christian Academy's head of school as well as a member of several area organizations, including the Executive Women's Alliance, the Montgomery County Coalition of Christian Schools, the Rotary Club of The Woodlands and the Affinity Team of the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce. She graduated from LMC in 2010.
Buckalew Campbell, a former recipient of the South Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Award, currently serves as Woodforest National Bank's vice president. She graduated from LMC in 2003. The community groups she participates in includes the South Montgomery County Woodlands and the Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe chambers of commerce, the Montgomery County Fair Association, the South County Buyer's Group and the Montgomery County Baylor Club.
Goertz is the owner of Mr. Rooter Plumbing as well as Rainbow International Restoration and Cleaning. A 2012 LMC graduate, he also attended Hutchinson Junior College in Hutchinson, Kan., and Kansas State University. He has been vice president of both advertising and operations for Pizza Inn Inc. as well as president and vice president for various The Dwyer Group companies.
Unterreiner, a licensed professional engineer with a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Florida, currently works for Jones and Carter Inc. as the company's land development department manager at its office in The Woodlands. He has graduated from both LMC and Leadership East Montgomery County.
