Boosters to honor The Woodlands diving team with luncheon

Divers, parents and coaches from The Woodlands Dive Team are invited to a special celebration luncheon.

The Woodlands Boosters want to honor the team’s accomplishments, including the participation of several divers in the Olympic trials in Washington.

Special recognition will be given to Christina Loukas who, for the second time, qualified for the Olympic team in 3-meter springboard. Loukas and her coach, Kenny Armstrong, will head to London the second week of July.

The luncheon will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at Rico’s Hacienda, 8000 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands.

Divers and their families are invited to attend the entire luncheon or just drop by the restaurant’s back room.

As part of the event, an official team picture will be presented, which will be displayed in the Dryland facility.
