Woodlands Sunny Dayz Camp lets campers travel, learn, explore
The Woodlands Township Recreation Center will be holding a camp for children age 6-12 from July 9 to Aug. 24.
Sunny Dayz Camp allows participants to "travel the world" as campers receive stamps on their "passports" during adventures each week, including crafts, swimming and field trips.
The camp open to both Explorers, age 6-8 (must have completed kindergarten) and Adventurers, age 9-12. The trip includes stops in Brazil July 9-13, Africa July 16-20, the North Pole July 23-27, China July 30 to Aug. 3, Greece Aug. 6-10, California Aug. 13-17 and The Woodlands Aug. 20-24.
The camp sessions will be held at The Woodlands Township Recreation Center, unless noted otherwise.
Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., pre-camp from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and post-camp from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Fees for weekly participants will be $150, pre-camp costs $20 per week and post-camp costs $40 per week.
Three days will be charged at $100 per week (pre-camp and post-camp not included) and daily charges will be $50 (including pre-camp and post-camp).
Discounts of $200 will be given to participants registering for all 12 weeks, with a $100 discount for 6-11 weeks and a $50 discount for 3-5 weeks. A $15 discount will also be given to siblings.
Daily drop-ins are welcome as space permits, but spots will not be saved without a payment.
There are three ways to register: onlineĀ at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov, by calling 281-210-3950 or visiting The Woodlands Township Recreation Center, 5310 Research Forest Drive.
