Twelve Woodlands-area runners complete Dad's Day 5K
Twelve Woodlands-area runners completed the Dad's Day 5K on Saturday, June 16 in Houston.
Runners from The Woodlands are: Elisa Divo, 45, (22:48); Dave Tyler, 55, (24:10); Carlos Collantes, 40, (31:26); Spencer Nicolary, 44, (32:02); Greg Folks, 54, (34:15); Eric Tyler, 18, (34:46); Louis Milano, 64, (43:27); and Zachary Pratt, 17, (55:42).
The four runners from Magnolia who participated in this race are: Justin Doss, 23, (24:22); Bryan Treadway, 51, (24:43);' Ellen Thompson, 25, (33:17); and Dan Wax, 57, (35:12).
A total of 860 runners finished the 5K race, which started and ended on Prairie under the Wortham Arch. The course is USATF-certified.
Maximo Mendoza, of Pearland was the men's overall winner with a time of 15:41, while Lauren Smith of Lake Jackson was the women's winner in 17:23.
