Five runners from The Woodlands complete Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon

Five runners from The Woodlands completed the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon on Saturday, June 16 in Duluth, Minn.

The runners from The Woodlands who participated in the race are the following: James Chiles, 58, (2:02:01); Fran Blanton, 53, (2:17:00); Barry Blanton, 53, (2:21:45); Denna Johnson, 49, (2:31:49); and Ginger Chiles, 49, (2:33:19).

A total of 6,482 runners finished the 13.1-mile race, which started approximately three blocks north of Clearwater Grille on Lake Superior, and ended in Duluth's Canal Park.

Jack Delehanty of Minneapolis, Minnesota was the men's overall winner with a time of 1:10:57, while Kelly Brinkman of Bloomington, Minn., was the women's winner in 1:18:10.
