Riva Row Boat House chosen for Texas Nature Challenge
The Woodlands Township's Riva Row Boat House is one of the host sites for the Texas Nature Challenge.
The challenge's goal is to get children and their families to visit as many participating parks and nature areas in Texas as possible this summer.
Participants will complete special activities at each site.
Teams must consist of families with at least one member age 18 or older and one younger than 18.
At the Riva Row Boat House, teams will take a self-guided kayak tour to Lake Woodlands while taking photos and journaling about the experience.
"This challenge allows families the experience of being outdoors and on the water, right in the heart of the Woodlands," said Chris Nunes, township parks and recreation director, in a press release.
The Riva Row Boat House offers kayaks for rent to explore Lake Woodlands. For more information, visit www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/rivarowboathouse.
