Five runners from Katy complete Wounded Warrior 10K
Five runners from Katy completed the Wounded Warrior 10K on Sunday, June 10 in Las Colinas.
Connor Mathis, 14, and Jackie Lynch, 26, were among the fastest Katy runners to finish. They completed the race in 58:39 and 1:09:47, respectively. Locals Kathy Mathis, Crystal Gorley, and Linda Rivera also crossed the finish line.
A total of 1,175 runners finished the 10K race, which started and ended around Williams Square. The beneficiaries of the event are Semper Fi Fund, and ReserveAid.
Garcia Richard of Fort Worth was the men's overall winner with a time of 37:59, while Tiffany Hauerwas of Rowlett was the women's winner in 44:13.
