Her eyes on prize: College Park High
Annie Turney said she is staying on task and focused on the future. "I am most proud of working hard to earn a spot in the Academy of Science and Technology at College Park High School. The process to apply required testing, taking advanced math classes and an interview. I am looking forward to the academy 'Fish Camp' this summer and completing the required academy internship."

Accomplishments: Recently received the CISD "Student Achieving Excellence Award," has been accepted into the Academy of Science and Technology, received straight A's all of eighth grade, is first chair percussionist in the wind ensemble at Knox, with ensemble won first place in the Oak Ridge Percussion Ensemble Contest 2011-2012, earned fourth chair in Regional Band, took third place in the 200 at district track meeting.
Favorite class: "I like science because it is interesting to learn how the world around us works."
Favorite things to do after school: "I like to hang out with my friends and volunteer."
Favorite website: "Pinterest is my favorite website because you can learn how to do anything and everything, browse funny pictures and see pictures of places and things that you have never seen before."
Favorite TV show: "I honestly do not watch enough TV to have a favorite TV show."
Favorite movie: "'Up' is my movie because it was so well done, and I love dogs that are like Doug."
Ambition: "I want to be a college professor teaching and researching something related to math and science."
