Alleged crowd-surfing wipeout victim sues Woodlands venue, River Oaks radio
A concert goer is suing after, she says, she suffered serious injuries when a crowd surfer fell on top of her at a Woodlands-area venue.
Sarah Standley filed a lawsuit Tuesday, May 1 in the Harris County District Court against KTBZ-FM, of River Oaks, Clear Channel Communications, and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, in The Woodlands, citing negligence.
Standley says on May 2, 2010, she sustained serious injuries during BuzzFest XXIV, at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, when the crowd dropped a heavy male surfer onto her. According to the brief, the defendants failed to control the crowd, which led to an unsafe concert experience.
