Woodlands car accident leads to attorney malpractice suit
A family involved in a car accident in The Woodlands is suing over claims its personal injury attorney mishandled the lawsuit.
Tiffany Gooden Johnson and Anderson Johnson III, individually and on behalf of minor children, filed a lawsuit on Thursday, April 12 in the Harris County District Court against Houston attorney Ronald Eugene Reynolds and Brown, Brown & Reynolds, citing, among other things, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and fraud.
The Johnsons say on June 9, 2009, they hired Reynolds to represent them after they were injured during a serious automobile accident in the 100 block of South Branson Creek Drive in The Woodlands. According to the brief, Reynolds settled their claim for $60,000 without the Johnsons' consent.
The Johnsons are seeking attorney fees, court costs and damages. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney Jim L. Culpepper.
