Golden hammer is passed on to Cooper student leaders
Each year, John Cooper School hosts John Cooper Day for students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade to honor the school's namesake and to pass the "golden hammer" to the new students who will "oversee The House That John Built XIV."
The hammer was passed to Halie Berrigan and John Cuyler Burton, who will oversee for the 2012-13 school year. The assembly also included a processional, a tribute to service projects held on campus during the year and entertainment by the choirs and bands.
The John Cooper School is a college preparatory day school located in the Village of Indian Springs in The Woodlands.
