Fashion show makes giving glam

The inaugural “Giving Goes Glam: A Gorgeous Excuse to Do Something Good,” benefiting The Junior League of North Harris South Montgomery Counties and Interfaith of The Woodlands, was held on April 2, drawing more than 400 attendees.

Featured in the New-York style runway show were spring fashion trends by Houston's Tootsies.

"The fashion show by Tootsies was sensational," said Ann Snyder, president and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. "On behalf of both charities, we are truly grateful for the community's support of this inaugural event, and look forward to next year’s production."

Eight local women, dubbed the "Gracious Glam Girls," walked the runway after being selected by a committee for their dedication to the community. The models were Yvette Aquino, Nelda Blair, Suzette Caldwell, Carol Lauck, Marxli Mettauer, Patti Rivela, Bev Robb and Casey Snyder.

The event was sponsored by Guy M. Lewis, DDS, and the Texas Center for Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry; George and Dianne Lindahl; and Friends of Junior League and Interfaith, with many other sponsors donating to the event.
