Gas prices in and around The Woodlands were lower compared to the average for the country as a whole this week, according to data from the price-tracking website gasbuddy.com.

Visitors to the gasbuddy.com website reported rates for 28 gas stations in and around The Woodlands. As of April 7, the average price of regular unleaded gas in The Woodlands is $3.870 per gallon. Gasbuddy.com listed the Texas average at $3.826, Houston average at $3.870, and the nationwide average at $3.910.

The average gas price in The Woodlands last week was $3.851 per gallon.

The least expensive gas price in The Woodlands is reported to be $3.75 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas, which gasbuddy.com contributors logged as being available at Valero, 172 FM-1488 and IH-45 and Valero, 3700 FM-1488 and Kuykendahl Boulevard.

A gasbuddy.com user reported the most expensive gas price in the area at $3.99, which was being sold at Shell, 4725 W. Panther Creek Drive and Woodlands Parkway.
