Future football player proud of his grades

Broadway Elementary fourth-grader O'Neal Perry had big dreams for a career in the NFL.

O'Neal Perry has dreams of a successful career in the NFL but still sees good grades as a major accomplishment. "I'm proud of getting As every time on my report card," he said. "When our class is getting our report cards, I get a gut feeling that I'm going to do it again. My As are very special to me."

Accomplishments: "One of the accomplishments I have is winning a football championship last year. My one in basketball is also important to me. The Ambassador Award is probably one of my greatest. I'm very proud of all of these."

Favorite class: "My favorite class was in second grade. We had to do work, of course, but Mrs. Gour let us do fun things, too. She let us play math and reading centers. I'll never underestimate class again."

Favorite things to do after class: "Football is my favorite thing to do. It gives me time to hang out with the guys and show off my skills. Being the fastest and best player makes it even more fun."

Favorite website: "I'm not a computer person, so I don't have a favorite website."

Favorite TV show:  "NFL Network. It gives me all the scores, highlights and news. Whatever team they're talking about, I still like this show."

Favorite movie:  "The Rocky series are my favorite movies. One, because Sylvester Stalone does a great job acting. Second, there are some hilarious scenes. Last, the music is incredible."

Ambition: "My passion is to play football for the New York Giants. Wide receiver would best suit me. This has been my dream since I was very young."
