John Cooper School students 'Jump Rope for Heart'
Students from the John Cooper School, 1 John Cooper Drive, The Woodlands, participated in Jump Rope for Heart, an annual fundraising event for the American Heart Association, which took place on Friday, Feb. 10.
Students in kindergarten through fifth grade completed a three-week jump rope unit in the middle/upper school gym. Students prepared by learning the basics of jumping rope and then moving on to using long ropes and learning tricks.
People can still make donations to the local chapter of the American Heart Association online through Friday, Feb. 17 at heartfoundation.org.au/sites/jumpropeforheart/pages/default.aspx/.
The grade that raises the most funds will get to celebrate Cap and Cookie Day. Students get to wear a cap of their choosing and eat cookies donated by Coopers Food Services Department.
