Amos Amit selected as featured artist for Woodlands arts festival
Amos Amit, an award-winning batik artist, will be the featured artist at The Woodlands Arts Festival on April 14 and April 15.
According to the press release, Amit has been making batik for 45 years and finds inspiration from Judaika and music. Amit began to paint while in the Army, where he focused on creating realistic oil paintings until he discovered batik, which uses fabrics.
Amit holds 25 exhibits a year all over the country. He has received many awards, both national and international, and his work has become part of many collections. His piece "Music for All" will be on sale at the festival.
