Houston Advanced Research Center announces new leadership
The Houston Advanced Research Center announced new leadership in its organization in January.
HARC is a nonprofit organization that focuses on environmental and sustainability issues in Texas.
Jim Lester, the organization’s former vice president and chief operating officer, is now the president and CEO of the organization.
Lisa Gonzalez, a coastal environment specialist, is now Houston Advanced Research Center’s vice president and chief operating officer.
Both Lester and Gonzalez joined the center in 2002.
Lester is working on research for watershed and landscape management.
Gonzalez is focusing on coastal research projects related to issues such as coastal water quality, fish and wildlife and seafood safety.
The Houston Advanced Research Center is located at 4800 Research Forest in The Woodlands.
