Magnolia High School announces Rodeo Art Show winners
Magnolia ISD held its annual Rodeo Art Show sponsored by the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on Jan. 13.
The School Art Committee members came out to judge the show, and taking Best in Show was senior Barry Carter with his artwork titled “Smokey and the Bandit.”
Carter’s work will be displayed at the Reliant Arena for the Rodeo season and will compete against other artwork from around Houston for the chance to go to auction.
Additional students who won awards are Lexi and Madison Poole, who were Black Ribbon Best of Show finalists.
Blue Ribbon recipients are Taylor Cohen, Mackenzie Merrill, Aaron Simon, Hope Griggs, Sara Fowler, Isabel Santana, Ashley Just, Bradley Greene, Justin Yoss and Mercy Ponce.
Red Ribbon recipients are Megan Baughman, Jackie Gilbert, Carlos Sierra, Marcus Campbell, Kelsie Prieto, Matt Baker, Rubi Ramirez, Erwin Castellanos, Nicolle Seward, Nicolette Curnel, Erika Raver, Reyna Willette, Janeth Zavala, Larkin Bailey, Jessica Taylor, Rylee Scanland, Makayla Dees, Skye St. Rose, Hallie Mugavero, Jade Russell, Krista McIntosh, Cory Kelley, Ashley Kana, Maria Gonzalez, Leah Putnam and Luke Knowles.
And White Ribbon recipients are Shawn Smith, Kierra Penkoff, Drew Burnett, Cole Blakely, Dylan Widiker, Trevor Hoffman, Emily Eyers, Corrie Yaw, Rissa Delacruz, Leslie Resendiz, Jennifer Hand, Ernesto Vazquez, Katie Cook, Juliana Kelley, Savanah Rauscher, Kaelea Gillis, Matt Mooney, Eric Daily and Tyler Ray.
