Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion ranks fifth in top 100 amphitheaters in the world
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has ranked fifth out of the top 100 amphitheaters in the world for 2011.
The ranking comes from Pollstar Magazine and is based on the number of tickets sold in 2011. The pavilion's ticket sales totaled 277,099 for shows played between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31.
In 2011, the pavilion had eight sold-out shows, including Arcade Fire on May 4, Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band on May 5, Stevie Nicks on Aug. 13, 94.5 The Buzz/Bud Light Weenie Roast on Aug. 28, Kid Rock with Sheryl Crow on Sept. 3, Maroon 5 and Train on Sept. 24, Journey with Foreigner and Night Ranger on Sept. 25 and Buzzfest XXVII on Oct. 22.
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is located at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands.
