Spring resident arrested on drug possession charge

A Spring man is facing a possession charge after deputies allegedly found PCP during a traffic stop in The Woodlands.

Montgomery County deputies arrested Spring resident Lydell A. Jones, 36, at around 9 a.m. on Jan. 5 on a charge of aggravated possession of a controlled substance, according to a Montgomery County Sheriff’s news release.

Deputies say the arrest happened after they allegedly found 112 ounces of liquid phencyclidine, or PCP, in Jones’ vehicle during a traffic stop in the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and Kuykendahl Road.

Jones was charged and taken to the Montgomery County Jail, according to the release.
