Companies sue Woodlands contractor over hydrogen production plant
Memorial-area Air Liquide Large Industries U.S. and Air Liquide Process & Construction filed a lawsuit on Nov. 17 in the Harris County District Court against CB&I Constructors, of The Woodlands, Robinson Fans and others, citing breach of warranty and breach of contract.
The plaintiffs, industrial and medical gases producers and distributors, say CB&I agreed to design and build their hydrogen production plant, located in Rodeo, Calif.
According to the brief, the plaintiffs, after numerous inspections and repairs, experienced many problems with the fans installed by the defendants, including a newly installed C-102 ID fan that threw large chunks of metal at the walls of the facility.
The plaintiffs are seeking damages and court costs. They are being represented in the case by Houston attorney Jay Brown.
