Rosenberg contractor blamed for fiber optics damage in The Woodlands
A communications services company is suing over claims an excavation contractor damaged its property, located in The Woodlands.
WaveMedia, Inc. filed a lawsuit on Oct. 24 in Harris County District Court against Gonzalez Construction Enterprise, of Rosenberg, citing negligence and negligence per se.
WaveMedia says in May Gonzalez Construction workers hit and damaged one of its underground fiber optic cables while working on an excavation project in The Woodlands. According to the brief, it cost WaveMedia $115,993.74 to repair the cable.
WaveMedia is seeking actual damages, attorney’s fees and court costs. It is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Dennis McQueen.
