Spring patient blames Woodlands surgeon for neurological damage
A Spring woman is suing after, she says, a surgeon practicing in The Woodlands botched her operation.
Spring resident Danette Johnson filed a lawsuit on Oct. 17 in Harris County District Court against Peter Shedden, M.D., of The Woodlands, citing negligence.
Johnson says that on Aug. 4, 2009, Shedden performed an exploratory surgery on her at St. Luke’s Episcopal in The Woodlands. Since the operation, Johnson’s pain and symptoms have worsened to the point she cannot return to her job as a labor and delivery nurse, according to the brief.
Johnson is seeking damages and court costs. She is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Robert Painter.
