Memorial service set for Harrington

A memorial service celebrating the life of Nancy Harrington, a dedicated advocate for women and seniors in Montgomery County, will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Northwoods Unitarian Universalist Church, located at 1370 North Millbend Drive in The Woodlands. Harrington later became the executive director for the Friendship center, which serves seniors in the county. Harrington received her degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas and was a creative person, who wrote poetry and loved animals, Wick said.
