Couple robbed at gunpoint in Woodlands house
Two armed men robbed a Woodlands man and his girlfriend Wednesday night in their home on Misty Grove Circle in the Grogan's Point area, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were called to the home at about 10:30 p.m, MCSO spokesperson Lt. Dan Norris said. The homeowner told them that the suspects came in through the back door, wearing masks and gloves, and forced him and his girlfriend to lie down on the floor as they stole jewelry and other items from the home.
The suspects also took both victims' cell phones and the woman's purse, Norris said. They then left in the homeowner's 2011 black Land Rover.
Norris said deputies searched the area for the suspects and the Land Rover, but have not found them yet.
The suspects are described only as a white male, 5-foot-9, and a black male, 6 feet tall. Both men were dressed all in black, Norris said.
Anyone with information on the robbery can reach Crime Stoppers at 800-392-7867 or montgomerycountycrimestoppers.org. Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest or charging of the suspects.
