Woodlands Art Gallery to moves to new location
The Woodlands Art Gallery will be moving to a new Market Street location in August.
The new location is a result of The Woodlands Art League having experienced a four-fold increase in its membership since opening its first location in Market Street.
The gallery serves as a resource center where individuals can attend free art workshops, meet regional artists and participate in a series of professional art classes, which includes instruction on water colors and a class on figure painting. Organizers have also added a series of children’s art classes.
"Having our own gallery not only allows our members to display their works, but also provides a space where we can continue the process of building relationships with those who are interested or new to the art world," said The Woodlands Art League President Kim Abbati.
The Woodlands Art Gallery at Market Street, currently at 9595 Six Pines, Suite 1200, is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The membership fee is $40 for adults and $10 for students.

The Woodlands Art League is a nonprofit organization dedicated to furthering interests in the visual arts through teaching, programs, demonstrations, exhibitions and community involvement.
