Woodlands schedules Earth Day GreenUp Event
The Woodlands Earth Day GreenUp is scheduled for Saturday, April 16.
The event lets people connect with neighbors and the outdoors by joining or leading a cleanup crew bagging trash from streets, pathways and streams.
The schedule for the day starts with check-in from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at a designated park. There, people will pick up their supplies and receive a map to their cleanup site.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., people will go to their location and start the cleanup process. They will deposit bags and large items at designated sites throughout the community or bring the bags to the post-pickup party.
And from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., people will celebrate in the spirit of Earth Day at Rob Fleming Park, located at 6055 Creekside Forest Drive, with food, fun, participation awards and a prize drawing. Music will be provided by the Buck Yeager Band.
Register now and take ownership of a space. Pre-register by Tuesday, March 29, to be guaranteed a t-shirt.
