Young chefs master the art of sandwich-making

Woodlands Young Learners Academy students entered the kitchen to prepare sandwiches with Chef Yoli, who joined the academy at the beginning of 2012.
Citing one of her biggest goals as teaching students healthy eating habits, Yoli said, “I had the opportunity to teach my first class how to make a sandwich, [and] they chose what to put on [them].”
The academy’s goal is to provide a successful and safe academic experience by building values, peer interaction skills and socialization aptitude. Founded in 2007, it hosts students as young as 18 months all the way up to the kindergarten level.
