Cottages have alternative living focus
published May. 10, 2012
Unlimited Care Assisted Living Cottages added its eighth unit in the Oak Ridge neighborhood, 26222 Hannah Road in Spring.
Providing assisted care on a smaller scale and in a family-style setting, the Unlimited Care cottages offer an alternative to the large, institutionalized assisted living communities and nursing homes. The new one-story, 2,600-square-foot cottage with a back yard is unfurnished and licensed to house up to seven residents in three private and two shared bedrooms.
Assistance levels range from minimum to maximum care, including bathing, dressing, transferring and medication reminders. Transitional care and respite care are also available.
“We are extremely excited to announce the opening of our eighth cottage in Oak Ridge,” said co-owner Terri Buckholtz in a press release announcing the new cottage. “Our families are able to simply concentrate on enjoying the relationship with their loved one without worry while knowing they are cared for as a person.”
A member of the South Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, Unlimited Care Assisted Living Cottages are associated with Building Communities-Bridging Continents, the Montgomery County Association of Business Women and Eden At Home certified trainers.
