Montgomery County resident Donald Ferrarone, a former U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agent, has written a screenplay about an unsolved string of Galveston County murders in what came to be known as the killing fields of League City and along the Gulf Freeway corridor. Hollywood producer Michael Mann is set to begin filming the movie in Louisiana in April.
