Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies and Shenandoah Police officers arrested three Spring-area suspects Wednesday who were attempting an armed robbery of a gas station in The Woodlands.
The number of car burglaries in The Woodlands increased 64 percent between 2008 and 2009, but the majority of the offenses still target unlocked vehicles with valuable left in plain sight, law enforcement officials say.

Officers with the Bellaire Police Department have arrested two suspects that Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies believe burglarized a Woodlands home Friday morning.
Montgomery County resident Donald Ferrarone, a former U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agent, has written a screenplay about an unsolved string of Galveston County murders in what came to be known as the killing fields of League City and along the Gulf Freeway corridor. Hollywood producer Michael Mann is set to begin filming the movie in Louisiana in April.
