Women's Volleyball: Ali Insell, Texas A&M University-Kingsville

Ali Insell played three sets in Texas A&M University-Kingsville's 3-0 loss to Incarnate Word on Tuesday. Insell made one assist. She committed one service error but ace. The 2009 The Woodlands High School graduate recorded nine digs.

Insell is a 2010 graduate of The Woodland High School where she was a two-year letterwinner on the volleyball team. As a senior (2009-10) Insell was team captain and District 14-5A defensive player of the year after leading The Woodlands to a 32-5 record a district title and a berth in the state regional quarterfinals. That season Insell averaged 4.2 digs per set. She was also an academic all-district honoree. As a junior (2008-09) Insell was named the team's best defensive player and she earned academic all-district honors. She helped her school to the finals of the area playoffs and a district runner-up finish. In the classroom Insell was a member of the National Honor Society. The daughter of Jeff and Liz Insell she is majoring in kinesiology at Texas A&M Kingsville.
