College Baseball: Pat Young, Villanova
Pat Young pitched seven innings, striking out six and allowing five earned runs Thursday in Villanova's 6-0 loss to Notre Dame. Young graduated from The Woodlands College Park High School in 2010.
Young is a 2010 graduate of The Woodlands College Park High School where he earned a pair of varsity letters as a pitcher infielder and outfielder. As a senior 2009-2010 he earned first-team all-District 14-5A and first-team all-Houston honors after going 8-3 on the mound with a 1.89 ERA. Young logged 63 innings allowing 56 hits and 17 earned runs while walking only 13 and fanning 74. At the plate he hit .325 with three home runs 24 RBIs and 13 runs scored. Born March 24 1992 the son of George and Martha Young he is enrolled in the school of liberal arts at Villanova but has yet to declare a major.
