    The Woodlands honors top Realtors

    The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC) announced and honored the 2009 top producing Realtors® at a special event at The Woodlands Homefinder Center on Thursday, February 11, 2010. The “Realtor® Olympics Party” featured presentations of prizes to the top producers, along with a preview of the 2010 Incentive Program, “The Woodlands Realtor® Olympics, 2010 Games”, complete with Winter Olympic Games on the Wii, an assortment of food from different countries, libations and music, according to Jeanne Lewis, manager of Realtor® relations and relocations for TWDC.
    Sheila Bourbeau with Heritage Texas Properties – Northwest was the winner who had the “Most New Home Closings”. Bourbeau had 20 new home closings in The Woodlands in 2009. Winner for the “Highest Dollar Volume for Closings” was Patricia Grijalva with Keller Williams Realty – The Woodlands. Grijalva’s total was $10,617,525 in new home sales in 2009. Dany Merlo with Tamborrel Bulox Properties won the “Most Significant Increase over 2008”. Merlo more than doubled his 2008 numbers from seven new home closings to 15. Winner of the “Most New Nome Closings for a Realtor outside South Montgomery County” went to Guillermo Orozco with HTown Realty.

    Orozco closed on nine new homes in The Woodlands in 2009. The “Premier Performance Award” went to Luis Tamborrel with Tamborrel Bulox Properties. Tamborrel had 19 new home closings for a total of $9,544,513. The “Rookie of the Year for The Producers Club” went to Alexandra Marquez with Century 21 Showcase – The Woodlands with five new home closings. Although not a rookie to real estate, Marquez is a rookie to The Producer’s Club.
    “The Woodlands Development Company extends it thanks and heartfelt congratulations to all the winners,” said Lewis. “We appreciate all that the real estate community does for The Woodlands.”
