Will she be a lover or a leaver?

Author Colleen ThompsonAuthor Colleen ThompsonWill she be a suspect or a victim? A damsel in distress or a heartless killer?

    Only Colleen Thompson knows.

But on April 10, College Park resident Debbie Brown will find out.

That's when Thompson will present a signed copy of her latest romantic thriller "Touch of Evil" to Brown, who won the right to have a character in the book named after her through an auction benefiting the 100 Club of Houston.

"As the wife of a Houston firefighter, I didn't have to think twice," said Thompson, who also donated an autographed set of books to the auction. "I've seen The 100 Club help many families."

After the presentation, Thompson, a Woodlands resident, will autograph copies of the book for fans.

"Touch of Evil" is Thompson's 16th book. The wife and mother began her writing career with historical novels, under the pen names Gwyneth Atlee and Colleen Easton. In 2004 Thompson released her first romantic thriller "Fatal Error," sending her into the romantic suspense stratosphere.
