Montgomery County Sheriff's Office deputies and Shenandoah Police officers arrested three Spring-area suspects Wednesday who were attempting an armed robbery of a gas station in The Woodlands.
On March 10, at approximately 3:50 a.m., three black men attempted to commit an aggravated robbery at the Exxon located at the intersection of Research Forest and Hewitt, according to a sheriff's office release.
The victim saw a passenger car in the parking lot and became suspicious and locked the front door and called 911.
The store clerk was on the phone with 911 when one of the suspects approached the front door carrying a black handgun and tried to come into the store.
When the suspect realized the door was locked he retreated leaving in the car with the other suspects.
The suspect vehicle was located by sheriff’s office deputies and Shenandoah Police Department patrol officers traveling east on Research Forest and the suspects, Detayvious Rashad Merrill, 19; Robert Perry Forman, 18; and a 16-year-old male were arrested and face charges of criminal attempt of aggravated robbery.
Bandana face masks and 3 BB pistols were found in the car.
