    Sheriff's Office weekly crime reports: March 10

    District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

    The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 32938 FM 2978:

    3/3 – Black Female 30 yrs old from Spring - The recovered merchandise (4 items) was valued at $199.96. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

    The following Driving While Intoxicated arrest(s) were made:

    3/1 – White Female 50 yrs old from Magnolia – was arrested for DWI in the 33300 Block of Buckshot Lane after a report was called in of the suspect almost causing a head-on collision with another vehicle. Witnesses were able to stop the suspect and take her keys. When Dep. Fruge arrived the driver was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

    3/7 – White Male 29 yrs old from the Woodlands – was arrested for DWI at the intersection of I-45 South and College Park Drive. Dep. Hernandez, while on patrol observed a vehicle completely stopped at a green light. Other drivers had to drive around the vehicle in order to avoid a collision. The driver then accelerated at a high rate of speed. Dep. Hernandez then conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for DWI.

    The following additional arrest(s) were made:

    3/4 - White Male 22 yrs old from Houston – was arrested for Evading and Resisting Arrest. Dep. Martina and Cpl. Mullis were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at 2909 Rayford Road. The Witnesses reported seeing the suspects “messing” with the license plate on a vehicle. Upon arrival, Deputies met with the suspect and his three friends. During the investigation, the manager of the restaurant approached the officers with a gun that was found in the restaurant restroom. The suspect appeared nervous and while being questioned about the gun, gave the officers two incorrect names. When asked to place his hands on the hood of the patrol car, he started to comply, then took off running. Dep. Martin chased the suspect and caught up with him as he was attempting to jump a fence. The suspect refused to comply with requests to place his hands behinds his back and actively resisted Dep. Martin. Dep. Martin was able to keep the suspect detained until additional officers arrived to help take him into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail. Jail staff was able to complete fingerprint identification through AFIS and found the suspects correct name and a history of drug and weapons charges out of Harris County.

    District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)

    On March 6th at approximately 11:00 pm MCSO Deputies Hollan and Zavorski along with Constable Precinct 5 Lieutenant Arnold responded to a family violence in progress call where a 29 male subject armed with a knife had threatened to harm a female subject and two others. The male subject was detained by Deputy Zavorski and Lt. Arnold. All three victims were interviewed by the Deputies and all testified to being in fear of the male subject harming them. The male subject was taken into custody and transported to the MCSO Jail in Conroe without incident for Aggravated Assault (Family Violence).

    On March 5th at approximately 10:00 pm MCSO Deputy Herman was dispatched to Hazy Hollow subdivision in reference to a possible Narcotics Violation. Upon arrival Deputy Herman observed a male subject driving a blue truck turning onto Fawn Lane without using a turn signal. The Deputy initiated a traffic stop and spoke with a 42 year old male. Deputy Herman observed prescription pill bottles and a large pharmacy bag on the front seat. The subject was placed into custody and transported to the MCSO Jail. While processing the subject’s belongings a large amount of cash was discovered. The Deputy then added an additional charge of Money Laundering (State Jail Felony) against the subject and seized the money.

    On March 4th at approximately 8:00 pm MCSO Deputy Crandell was dispatched to the 200 Block of South Hall Drive in reference to a Welfare Check by an anonymous caller. Before arriving on scene, Deputy Crandell was advised that the male subject on location had a warrant for his arrest. Upon arrival, Deputy Crandell approached the male subject. Deputy Crandell asked the male subject to identify himself. The subject gave a name and date of birth which was discovered not to be correct. While on scene Deputy Crandell asked a female who was also on location the name of the male he had detained and she provided his real name. The warrant was confirmed and the charge of Failure to Identify was added to the arrest record. The subject was transported to the MCSO Jail without incident.

    On March 4th at approximately 5:00 pm MCSO Deputy Suarez was dispatched to the 14000 block of Timber Shade Crossing in reference to a Family Violence call. The Complainant advised that the male subject had assaulted her. Deputy Suarez placed the male subject into custody and transported him to the MCSO Jail in Conroe for assault. Upon arrival to the Jail, Deputy Suarez and the Jail Deputy conducted a second search on the male subject. A small amount of Marijuana was discovered. The additional charge of Possession of Marijuana was added.

    On March 3rd at approximately 5:00 pm MCSO Deputy Hahs and Corporal Sumrall were dispatched to the Subdivision of Decker Oaks in Pinehurst in reference to a Family Violence call. Upon arrival the Deputies met with the 70 year old female. The Complainant advised that a relative had come to her residence intoxicated began yelling at her. The 49 year old male subject then struck the Complainant. The male subject was located at a bar on SH 249 and taken into custody for Injury to the Elderly, a Felony charge, and transported to the MCSO Jail.

    On March 3rd at approximately 1:00 am MCSO Sergeant Russell conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 Block of Woodlands Parkway for an expired registration. Sgt Russell ran a check on the 40 year old male subject by name and date of birth. The check revealed an active warrant for Criminal Non-support. The subject was arrested and transported to the MCSO Jail.

    On March 2nd at approximately 12:30 am MCSO Deputy Suarez observed a blue Dodge Pick-up traveling west on FM 1488. The Deputy checked the vehicle registration and discovered the registration had expired. Deputy Suarez activated his emergency equipment and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The Deputy walked up to the driver side of vehicle to make contact with the driver and detected a strong odor of burnt Marijuana coming from the vehicle. The subject was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and transported to the MCSO Jail without incident.

    On February 27th MCSO Deputy Suarez observed a Jeep Wrangler traveling east on Hardin Store Road without his lights on and also failed to yield to oncoming traffic when exiting a parking lot. Deputy Suarez conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. As the Deputy walked up to the vehicle to check on the welfare of the driver he could detect a heavy odor of alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Deputy Suarez conducted several field sobriety tests which the driver failed. The driver was then transported to the MCSO Jail and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

    District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

    The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive:

    3/6 – White Male 22 yrs old from Spring - The recovered merchandise (1 item) was valued at $70. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

    The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 3040 College Park Drive:

    3/5 – White Male 18 yrs old from Spring/Woodlands- The recovered merchandise (13 items) was valued at $99.92. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County
    Jail.

    The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 9595 Six Pines Drive:

    3/6 – White Male 47 yrs old from Conroe - The recovered merchandise (11 items) was valued at $117.20. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

    The following Driving While Intoxicated arrest(s) were made:

    3/5 – White Male 25 yrs old from Spring – was arrested after a traffic stop on Woodlands Parkway and McBeth Way. The suspect stated he was heading home from a friend’s house. During the interview, Dep. Runnels noticed that the suspect had bloodshot, glassy eyes and his speech was slow, and that he emitted an odor of alcohol as he spoke. The driver was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

    The following Possession of Marijuana arrest(s) were made:

    3/3 – White Male 19 yrs old from The Woodlands – was arrested after a traffic stop in the 10400 block of Gosling Road. During the traffic stop, Deputies noticed that the suspect appeared extremely nervous and that the odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. The suspect was found to be in possession of .01 ounces of marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

    The following additional arrest(s) were made:

    On 03/08/2010 at approx. 1634 hrs., District VI units were dispatched to a home on Round Top Pl. in reference to a Burglary in Progress. Upon Deputy Cogdill’s arrival, he entered the back yard of the residence. Deputy Cogdill observed two white male juveniles attempting to climb over the fence of the property. The two juveniles were then detained. The homeowner observed two boys trying to get into her window and called 911 for assistance. The two juveniles WM 15 yrs old and WM 15 yrs old, both of The Woodlands, advised that they were in a band and needed money for new stereo equipment so they were going to break into a house to get money. The two juveniles were taken into custody and transported to Montgomery County Juvenile Detention in Conroe.
