Rumor: Residents of Harper’s Landing are all abuzz about the potential development of land in their neighborhood for retail use.
Reality: Rumor Patrol can confirm that this rumor is true. A 2.5-acre site at the corner of Harper’s Landing Boulevard and South Trade Center Parkway has been purchased by Dhukani Properties for development of a small retail center designed to serve not only the residents of the Landing, but also the many businesses that call the Trade Center area home.
Although definite plans are still in the drafting stages, Greg Jordan, director of commercial sales for The Woodlands Development Co., confirms that the property will include a retail center with convenience store and service station. Karim Dhukani, principal for Dhukani Properties, adds that there is not a definitive start date for the project at this time.
