The Harris County Precinct 4 Constables Office has arrested four suspects who Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office investigators say were involved in a recent string of vehicle burglaries in The Woodlands.
The sheriff’s office began receiving multiple reports on March 11 of vehicles that had been burglarized including a vehicle that had been stolen.
Most of these reports were in the area of Woodlands Parkway and FM 2978, according to a sheriff's office release.
A witness was able to provide a vehicle description and license plate of a suspect vehicle involved in one of the crimes to sheriff’s deputies that had occurred at a child care center where the victim had left her purse in the car while dropping off her child. The victim found that her credit card had been used at a gas station in Magnolia.
Working closely with Harris County Precinct 4 Constables office, the suspect vehicle was found the same day at an auto parts store on Kuykendahl Road in Harris County and four suspects were taken into custody for credit card crimes. Arrested and charged with credit card abuse were, Spring residents Joshua C. Hermes, 28, Angela Gann 41, Erica Roberts, 24 and Conroe resident Ashley Hubbard, 19.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies recovered from the suspect vehicle property from four car burglaries in Montgomery County and was able to return the property to the owners.
Harris County retained custody of the suspects and charged them with credit card abuse.
Criminal charges in Montgomery County are pending and the investigation remains active.
