I'm also a big believer in beer.
So since I can't get Kokanee glacier beer here, I might have to switch to Bombshell Blonde, brewed at Southern Star in Conroe.
Southern Star brewing tanksTurns out the brewery turned out its first beer in March 2008. They've got three different kinds now, all available in cans. Used to be you could only get Pine Belt Pale, Bombshell Blonde, and Buried Hatchet Stout in draft form.
And, a quick visit to Southern Star's Web site showed the brewery is going green. By partnering with Let's Recycle in Conroe, they will be able to recycle almost 100 percent of the waste generated at the brewery.
I'll drink to that!

Want a Bombshell Blonde - in a can?
Dear Kim, I totaly agree, I know Kokanee from skiing in BC and I have excelent connections into Weihenstephan the oldes brewery in the world. www.weihenstephaner.de (engl too).
My friend gerry visited them in October while I was in Texas. Great Place! Great Owner! Great Beer!
Have one on me when you are going there the next time.
