Second suspect arrested in home invasion case

A second suspect was arrested Tuesday in connection with a Jan. 5 home invasion and aggravated robbery in The Woodlands.

ThomasThomasDetectives from the Major Crimes Unit in conjunction with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and the United States Marshalls Office arrested 26-year-old Isaac Lamar Thomas of Houston on Tuesday, according to a release from the sheriff's office.

Thomas is the second suspect arrested in the case and is believed to be the only other suspect in the robbery. Thomas was arrested in South Houston and is currently being held there on unrelated charges.

Suspect Christopher Colvin, 42, of Missouri City, was arrested on Jan. 5.

Detectives are continuing their investigation.

On Jan. 5, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call around noon on Gate Hill Drive in the Indian Springs neighborhood of The Woodlands from a victim who reported that he had just been robbed at his home by two individuals.

The 24-year-old victim called 911 reporting that two black men, one of whom appeared to be dressed as a police officer, knocked on his door and when he opened it, was threaten with a gun, restrained, struck on the head with a gun and robbed.

The caller reported that the suspects had stolen his car. The victim sustained only minor injuries.
